Between Ho Chi Minh City and Cambodia, in southwest Vietnam, the Mekong Delta is a network of tributaries. The reason the waters are so murky is somewhat explained by the fact that the river itself originates in the Himalayas and travels through China, Myanmar, Thailand, and Cambodia before reaching Vietnam.

Vinh Trang Pagoda

Vinh Trang is a Buddhist temple near My Tho in the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam. It is one of the best-known temples in the region. The temple stands on a 2 hectares (5 acres) block filled with fruit trees in the village of My Hoa in the town of My Phong, on the banks of the Bao Dinh canal.

Nguyen Hue Walking Street

One of Ho Chi Minh City's principal streets used to be Nguyen Hue. Currently completely restricted to traffic, it is a must-see city attraction, especially at night when you can view modern and French colonial-style buildings illuminated up. It extends about a kilometer from Ho Chi Minh City Hall to the Mekong River.
